This spring, the two best-known fashion events in Tokyo are holding a two-day event on a conjoint basis. Enlisting the slogan “Sparkling girls,” new fashion styles will be presented with a myriad of ‘sparkling’ limelight and with components of next season’s sparkling look. This slogan also highlights girls’ power to ‘sparkle’ despite recent economic turmoil. Additionally, we will incorporate charity auctions and live performances by a top artist. Moreover, this year, TGC launches a new effort to contribute to local industry in response to the request of the Cabinet Office to revitalize local industries in Japan. For this, TGC and the eyewear industry of Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, are introducing eyewear and sunglasses at a special show, collaborating with popular apparel brands. All of these features will help towards making a glamorous event.

TGC and SGC are unique fashion shows that have pioneered the e-commerce show business and are linked to mobile phones, online shopping, special membership service and e-mailing service. All of these services are carried out during the show.

This event will attract the attention of many people who are interested in fashion, events and online businesses. 8th TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION (TGC)

TGC is a biannual fashion festival launched in 2005. The fashion event showcases fashionable “Real Clothes” for the coming seasons mainly by domestic brands, and is modeled by popular models from various Japanese fashion magazines and well-known celebrities. Unlike the regular fashion shows, the event is open to the general consuming public as well as to buyers and journalists, and incorporates charity auctions and live performances by well-known artists. The event is planned and sponsored by Branding Inc, a company which runs girlswalker.com and fashionwalker.com, and the outfits adorned by the models are made available for purchase on the spot through the official website of TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION.

3rd SHIBUYA GIRLS COLLECTION (SGC)
