TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION Executive Committee announces to launch the 6th TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION (TGC), one of the World's Biggest Fashion Festivals on MARCH 15th 2008 (SAT) at Yoyogi National Stadium 1st Gymnasium.

TGC, adopting "Japanese Real Clothes for the World" as its slogan, has been held twice a year since Summer 2005, and aims to be one of the biggest fashion festivals for general young-female consumers, not only press. It's not only the latest fashion show performed by glamorous models but a 'festival' incorporating live concerts by famous artists, charity auction and many other various contents.

There were approximately 23,600 people in the audiences in the previous TGC held at Saitama Super Arena. This time, coming back to Yoyogi National Stadium 1st Gymnasium where has been under renovation and is located in the midst of Tokyo, would be a significant milestone in TGC's career. TOKYO METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT and JAPAN EXTERNAL TRADE ORGANIZATION (JETRO) decided to support TGC for the 2nd time, which is a proof of its continuous contribution towards invigoration of fashion as culture and industry.

The 6th TGC is being held at Yoyogi National Stadium 1st Gymnasium represents the beginning of TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION. COLORFUL DEPARTURES is the main concept informing "Let's find out our own color in TGC collecting the latest fashion!", reflecting upcoming fashion trend of this season, 'color.'
